• Any “interested party” can submit written comments about the permit

• In your comments, request a hearing

• • DEP does not have to give one

• DEP’s only obligation is to “respond” to comments

• • If large numbers of people submit the same comment, DEP will treat it as one comment
  • • We need as many different arguments as possible
