Notes:
The Fayette County maps for the Transco Atlantic Access Project show
Shamrock Compressor Station as a "Meter Station". Contrary to the
information in the recent article on Transco in the Uniontown
Herald-Standard, there *does* appear to be a location for the new
compressor station: it shows on the maps as "Proposed Header Compressor
Station". It staddles Sheet 4 and Sheet 5 in North Union Township near
where the George Marshall Pkwy meets Connellsville Street; there is
also a location nearby marked "Alternate Header Compressor Station".
DEP seems to have two site records named "CHICO UNIT 1H OG WELL"; the
one above is listed as "Springfield Twp", the other is listed as
"Springhill Twp" which I believe is correct. This appears to be a data
entry error at DEP, but I'm not certain of this. The two sites seem to
be in exactly the same location. Why there should be a new permit for
Authorization 911399 is a mystery. "Springfield Twp" sure looks like an
error.
