Notes:

DEP issues an extremely large number of permits for J & J Landfill. It is impossible based on currently available information to know which ones are related to Marcellus Shale waste, so up to now I haven't listed any of them. MarcellusGas.org (a subscription site) does show this landfill as receiving waste from Marcellus Shale wells in Fayette County. The site record for this site (Site ID 240681) shows the following "programs": Air Quality, Clean Water, Environmental Cleanup & Brownfields, Mining, Radiation Protection, Waste Management, Water Planning and Conservation. The permit shown above for J & J is only a single example of presumably many, but there are certainly many others that are not Marcellus related.

The Independent Regulatory Review Commission reviews all regulations before they go into effect, and gives the public the opportunity to comment and the PA General Assembly the chance to intervene. Once approved by the IRRC, a regulation becomes part of PA Code. Notice of any new permit applications will appear at the above web address.  I'm not aware of any subscription service to be notified of such applications. I'm not aware of any Marcellus Shale waste disposal injection wells in Fayette County (yet ...) but we need to monitor this page for future applications.

Where I am publishing latitude and longitude with E&S permits it is by inferring an associated well permit and using published latitude and longitude for the well. It is possible I may be inferring the wrong well site.
